Fringe Week Three at theSpaceUK: The Curtain Rises on the Festival’s Final Act

As the final week of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe comes into view, a fresh wave of talent is just hitting its stride at theSpaceUK.

From trans sci-fi horror, to Royal (Pigeon) Mail and a chorus of acapella acts, here's a small taste of the new shows you can catch in Week 3 at theSpaceUK.

And Then The Rodeo Burned Down
The rodeo is the best place in the world. Why would anybody burn it down? Unfortunately, rodeos don’t burn down on their own.This alleged tale of arson fractures into the story of two clowns desperately trying to afford to put on a show. An absurdist Western send up of the American Dream from consecutive 2022, 2023, and 2024 Fringe First Award-winners Xhloe and Natasha.

Meet Magenta. This 20-something icon is confident, creative and incredibly hairy – particularly on her face. Tonight she's going on a date – perhaps he'll be the love of her life! Or perhaps he'll just stare at her moustache. This semi-autobiographical play is based around the writer's experience with hirsutism and PCOS. Full of lots of interactive, challenging and comedic moments – this one woman show is hair-raising!

Five strangers find themselves under scrutiny for abandoning a suspicious bag at Kings Cross. As the narrative unfolds, it becomes apparent that each person is fleeing their own troubles, and the confines of the waiting room and interrogation process compel them to confront their emotions and the very issues they're evading.

A comedy set in a post office using carrier pigeons in the run-up to a debate on whether to keep the pigeon post alive or not. Tensions run high between two employees on opposing sides of the debate, as the very fate of pigeon mail is in the balance. Come on down to help save our pigeon mail (or do it in), this short play invites us into a novel yet familiar world.
