The New Yorker offices, 1950. Maeve Brennan, the brilliant yet reclusive journalist (aka The Long-winded Lady), and closeted poetry editor Howard Moss find mutual solace in their unlikely but enduring friendship. Plush Tiger return to the Fringe with a new play by Clara Nel Haddon, charting a friendship founded on razor-sharp repartee, shared dreams and unwavering affection. Their intertwined lives reveal that sometimes the most profound stories are written between the lines. Previous productions include Desert Bloom – ★★★★ (BroadwayBaby.com) – and When Kurt Met Thora – ‘As an imagined piece of entertainment folklore, it’s priceless' (Stage).
