Two brothers – the elder a smooth hypocrite and the younger a reckless but generous spendthrift – are put to the test by their long-lost uncle as to who is the most virtuous… all the while battling with the vicious rumours and salacious scandal brewing around them. Who will be rewarded with happiness and love? Sheridan’s fast-paced comedy of manners, The School for Scandal is a lively ridicule of affection and pretentiousness.
