Edinburgh University Shakespeare Company The Macbeth Inquiry
This reconstruction of Macbeth for Edinburgh University Shakespeare Society's annual Shakesperimental play reimagines the narrative within a modern political context. It asks how politics is shaped from, and tarnished by, a pursuit for power. In paying homage to one of Shakespeare's most celebrated works, the aim is to show its applicability to modern society whilst experimenting with comedic elements of a play synonymised with tragedy. It's time to see the Scottish Play through a whole new lens!
