Nat Griffen Cake and Violence

Theatre

Nat used to be an athlete. A pretty good one, too. She played soccer for the top team in the US! But now that she’s no longer kicked in the shins for a living, Nat's not quite sure how to feel… well… anything. Join writer and cartoonist Nat Griffen for a one-woman performance that’ll have you laughing, crying, and ordering dessert. Dressed in a plastic suit and swingin' around a cake knife, Nat delivers sharp-witted monologues and destroys a bunch of cakes. It's the only way she knows how to feel alive.

Cake and Violence is reminiscent of Gallagher’s watermelon-crushing comedy, but with a modern, feminine spin. Underneath the frosting, it’s a spectacle about our love-hate relationships with ourselves that teaches us how to reconnect not only to our own bodies, but to every body.
