1915, Ypres, Belgium. A few civilians are living in the cellars of buildings, reluctant to leave as shells rain down on their broken town. Jan is waiting for the return of his father in the basement of their café. Tragedy looms closer as the shelling intensifies and Jan's cellar becomes home to an increasing number of young refugees. Escape is paramount but Jan's world is shattered by revelations that are more shocking than the devastation above. This new play showcases the very best young talent in this dramatic and impassioned story.
