Aireborne Theatre Shut Up, Helen!

A dark, comedic production which explores mental illness in the mind of an everyday young woman. Using her therapist’s advice, Valerie names her depression Helen, who becomes an unwelcome companion in her day-to-day life. In this show, we see the ups and downs of Valerie’s healing process, her romance with Archie (who has a companion of his own) and their bonkers musical conflicts. Valerie has spent her life being belittled by the voice in her head – so when that voice ends up standing in front of her holding a ukulele, naturally, things get a bit weird.
