You can’t help getting older, but you don’t have to get old. Pearls is a verbatim play about the forgotten personalities, the ignored characters, and the presumed frustrations of the elderly, told by the young. Using the real words of real people, Pearls explores how we perceive age and ageing, and the disconnect between those looking back and those looking forward. A heart-warming and rich telling of the boundary which lies in the age gap, challenging our misconceptions and exploring the stereotypes and prejudices associated with getting old, or being young.
