Pibroch Tales

2017 V9

Port Dance Theatre Project

Two men enter a forest… Fear meets mythical creature and strange happenings ensue. A vibrant blend of bagpipe music, storytelling, dance and comedy amid sharp-humoured interaction with the audience. This Scottish one-man show skips through a jigsaw of three different tales, each excerpt illuminating a different scene. ‘Animated storytelling with both humour and charm’ (Maria Hardcastle). ‘There’s a kind of enchantment… dry, droll, deadpan – in Pibroch Tales, featuring kilted Gordon Douglas Raeburn as both compere and performer… Pythonesque’ (Sanjoy Roy for Resolution). Audience members have said ‘quirky, funny and accessible’ and ‘funny voyage into Scottish bizarre’.
