Hush-Hush Theatre Group Terra Is a Warm Gun
Terra’s full artist name is Hung Yung Terrarist. When the Uber driver pulls up and asks if she’s “Hung,” “so hung” is usually the response. Hung Yung dropped her last name so as not to directly or indirectly support terrorism, as specified in the terrorist clause on the Ed Fringe website.
A Los Angeles native, this is her show's worldwide premiere in Edinburgh, a counter-culture musical cabaret that delivers many surprises. She use to meditate a lot. She was in a meditation group/cult. She had a guru. She spent the first half of her life meditating and surrendering to a sociopath. So she thought she would spent the second half self-medicating and becoming a sociopath. Because life is all about balance. “If Los Angeles is the Freak Kingdom, then Hung Yung Terrarist is its Regnant Queen.” (Jarett Kobek) Performances includes selections from the brand new self-titled record, Hung Yung Terrarist, an ode to old school Hip Hop crafted purely from vinyl samples.
Audiences can expect the unexpected, including variety, music, cabaret, comedy, sketch and avant-garde performance art. A counter-culture collection of vignettes, poems and musical selections from her last 4 records, this explosive production aims to be a cult classic with catchy numbers like "Big Titted Cows," "Everybody's Got An African Baby," and "I'd Rather Be a Hooker (Than Live With My Mother)." Performance includes selections from the brand new self-titled record, Hung Yung Terrarist, an ode to old school Hip Hop crafted purely from vinyl samples.
