University of South Florida School of Theatre and Dance Professors Fanni Green and Jeanne Travers collaborate on an original theatre/dance piece motivated by the ongoing genocide. In 2007, Waging Peace researcher Anna Schmitt, meeting with Darfuri refugees, spoke with children in the camps. Given paper and pencils and asked to describe their strongest memories, the children produced graphic drawings of brutal attacks on their villages. Since then, the drawings have been exhibited around the world, inspiring horror, pity and on this occasion, a powerful artistic response.
