The award-winning play is set in a diabolical, false-fronted prison camp in 1942. Six children face the psychological barbarism of the Nazi war machine in the days before their deportation to Auschwitz. With courage, hope, and art, they demonstrate the resilience of the human spirit. Written by Anna Smulowitz, the daughter of two Holocaust survivors, Terezin has toured internationally for over forty years. The play is a tribute to the past and a reminder of the best and worst that human beings are capable of. The 2011 Fringe performance is dedicated to the children of Darfur.
