‘Hector, how do you feel today? You’ve won a blank cheque for happiness! A cheer from the crowd, smiles all round’. Things haven’t been going brilliantly for Hector recently, but when he wakes up to find a beautiful, half-naked woman in the dog basket, perhaps it’s looking up. Then she’s left him, and all he has is her poetry to work out why. Swan Song uses live performance and animation to explore the complexity of how we communicate, focussing on that awkward gap between thought and speech.
