From the Dark Hills

A black dust is hanging about the air; it rolls down the hills and settles upon the terrace rooftops of Ashington 1984. How does the town battle against the turmoil of Thatcher’s tyrannical reign? Through a contemporary interpretation of the commedia dell’arte form, our cast of five will make you laugh and cry as they convey the struggle of this mettlesome and high-spirited community. Romantics, miners, whores, drunks and little old ladies animate the streets during this time of government injustice and oppression.
