Last year absurdist comedy writer Keith Large brought Jeff Stewart ( The Bill’s Reg Hollis) back to the Edinburgh stage after an absence of 33 years in his play ‘Prima Donna Island’. ‘With Stewart on good form, and showing no signs of his infamous police persona, it’s an arresting performance.’ Edinburgh Evening News, 20th August 2010. If that wasn’t enough, in ‘The Ticket Collector’ he gave us an angry polar bear on a train. ‘It’s a tight story with strong performances all round.’ Edinburgh Evening News, 20th August 2010. This year he’s giving us ‘Everything but an Astronaut’. We all know one, Mr been it, seen it, done it and got the T-Shirt before the cotton arrived, the know all who knows everything about nothing. He’s Marcus Cartwright and he’s winding blonde beauty Jo up so much she’s planning her escape to the moon. She’s sure it’s the one thing he claims to have never done. Until he plans to come with her, something infatuated office junior Brian’s not happy about.
And in space three’s a crowd.
