‘party, bash, whatever, in the city. that’s what we came down for. the thing, this get-together’s why we did it in the first place…’
BASH: A dark triad of chilling tales, bringing Greek tragedy to life in the modern world. LaBute’s sharp wit is nimbly performed by two actors in a dynamic portrayal of three fateful incidents. From a casual drink in a hotel bar, to an unforgettable night in Central Park, to a tape-recorder confessional; BASH will charm, haunt and challenge those willing to have their moral instincts put to the test.
BASH presents theatre in its most naked form, aided by sensitive direction, fluid set and lighting design, and a pulsing soundtrack. Both former Fringe First winners perform two powerful monologues and a cracking duologue, delivered with youthful energy and tenacity. LaBute’s writing is wickedly satisfying with a slightly bitter after-taste, as his harrowing tales leave a lasting imprint on the minds of the viewers.
