Festival 2010 programme launched...

theSpaceUK announces it's 2010 Edinburgh Festival programme.

With some 170 companies performing 2000 shows over 24 days we present an array of progressive and established live performance from across the globe.

New for 2010 we present theSpaces on the mile @ the Radisson (Space 3) and the historic Symposium Hall next door to theSpaces @ Surgeons Hall - this 158 seat amphitheatre boasts leather armchairs for seats and is lauded as the most stylish theatre on the fringe.

We are very proud to present a rich mix of shows - from theatre to interactive game shows, dance to improv and from storytelling to poetry.

En route to a show visit the Space Courtyard Bar located in the historic courtyard at theSpaces@ Surgeons Hall (Venue 53). 0930-2300.

Or if you want to relax in a quiet environment or need some time away from the hustle and bustle then visit the Space bar downstairs at Symposium Hall, a relaxing 'Green Room' in this state of the art building. 1200-2330.

Historical Fact: The building at the far end of the picture above is where the victims of the infamous 19th century Edinburgh body snatchers and murderers Hare and Burke were disected! Interestingly after his execution in 1829 Burke's body was also disected here and his death mask and skeleton are on show in the College museum.

2009 Interesting Stat: 37,444 people watched a show in one of our theatres between 7th-30th August 2009.
