Macbeth... Hearts Desire Hotel
A feckless Irishman, three chefs and Sigmund Freud all find themselves in a hotel run by the Macbeths. Dark tragedy becomes black comedy in this physical, funny, fast romp through Shakespeare's bloody tale. An hour long adaptation of the Scottish play by the writer of 'Vex', Simon Parker, and the young company that brought their 'visually stunning' (Scotsman) version of 'Romeo and Juliet' ('L.O.V.E.') to the festival three years ago. Barton Fink meets Cab Calloway in a remix of the Bard's greatest hit.
