Why Don't You Dance
Van Gogh's ear dances to hip-hop, a suitcase weeps and doctors bring only good news in this dark, tender, funny new play that asks, 'how do you find love amidst all the black?' Inspired by a short story by Raymond Carver, this is a poignant piece of new writing that has a warm, dark beauty from the writer of 'Vex', Simon Parker. Performed by the young company that brought their 'visually stunning' (Scotsman) version of 'Romeo and Juliet' ('L.O.V.E.') to the festival three years ago.
